Our visit to the 416th Flight Test Squadron included a video presentation covering the purpose and operation of a flight test squadron and a question and answer session with a couple F-16 test pilots.  This squadron supports test programs involving avionics and/or hardware upgrades to this very capable single-engine fighter.  Over 3,000 F-16s have been built in the last 25 years--about one for every Boeing 737 jetliner produced in the last 35 years!
