This is the first year we were given a tour of the Air Force Research Laboratory.  All of the United States' rocket engines and motors have been tested on this site at least once.  We were given a bus tour of some of the test stands on which liquid-fueled rocket engines and solid rocket motors are tested, sometimes with catastrophic results.  We also had a little time to look around in a museum that is being created on the site.  Photography was limited on this site due to security issues.  The photo below is of a cut-away liquid fueled rocket engine.
